In Queensland, the official title of a road worthy certificate for a vehicle up to 4500 kg GVM is a ‘Safety Certificate’.
A safety certificate is issued after a vehicle passes an minimum safety standard inspection. A safety certificate covers basic things that could affect the safe operation of the vehicle, such as:
- tyres
- brakes
- steering
- suspension
- body rust or damage
- windscreen
- lights
The safety certificate offers buyers better protection and makes sure vehicles being offered for disposal or being re-registered are safe – reducing the likelihood of crashes caused by defective vehicles.
Here at Moorooka Hyundai we are an Approved Inspection Station, meaning that we can supply you with a road worthy (safety Certificate) for any of the following reasons:
- If you have moved a vehicle to Qld from another state
- If you have registered an unregistered vehicle in Qld
- If you are selling a registered second hand Hyundai vehicle in Qld
We are committed to road safety meaning that we will never turn a blind eye to an un-roadworthy fault. If you find a Safety Certificate signed by us you can be certain that car is road worthy. A Safety Certificate remains valid for 3 months or 1,000 kms through a licensed Motor Dealer.
